Happy Tuesday!

I will admit, I didn't care for this song when I first heard it, but it's been in my spirit for a while and it has ministered to me in this season. I hopes it blesses you!

"How Many Times Do I Have to Tell You?!"

A few weeks ago I was watching one of my favorite shows; Grey's Anatomy. The hospital had experienced a black out, Meredith had just given birth and need emergency surgery and was in danger of dying on the table because of the lack of resources at the time. In a moment of worry between herself and Derek, Christina something that really stuck with me; she said, "Meredith has survived a drowning, a bomb, a shooting, and a plane crash; she will survive this."

The Lord brings us out, and keeps us, time and time again, but when new opposition arises, we second guess the same God who blesses us and delivers us the last time, and the time before that and the time before that, over and over again! When do we get it?! That everything really does work together for the good of them that love Him and are called according to His purpose.

I heard a sermon preached by T.D. Jakes, a while ago, entitled Save the Scraps. He talked about when Jesus fed the multitude with the 2 fish and 5 loaves of bread. If you read the text carefully in Mark 6:41-43, after he feed the people there were scraps left over and the Lord had the disciples collect the scraps and put them in basket. Now what was the significance in that? After that, you know the story, the 12 men got on the ship, while the Lord went up to the hills to pray. While the 12 were on the ship, they was bombarded by a storm and they were scared and worried. Now the Lord had just preformed a miracle, and fed the multitude with only 2 fish and 5 loaves of bread, and not only that he gave them a reminder of what he had already did [the scraps!]. "Then He went up into the boat to them, and the wind ceased. And they were greatly amazed in themselves beyond measure, and marveled. For they had not understood about the loaves, because their heart was hardened." [Mark 6:51-52] They had just seen the works of the Lord, but still allowed what they saw to dictate their faith in God. They walked with this Man, and served Him everyday. They saw Him preform miracles but still did not know that He was the Master of the Seas. How many times does the Lord have to show us who He is, before we believe Him?

Do you really know WHO you serve?
